What happens during a care assessment?
Our assessment includes understanding your care needs, preferences, and circumstances. We’ll discuss your goals, assess your home environment for any risks, and explain our services. There’s no obligation to proceed.

Are you regulated?
Yes, we are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and maintain a ‘Good’ rating. We are also a trusted provider for Devon County Council.

How do you ensure quality of care?
Our managers actively provide hands-on care alongside our team, ensuring direct oversight of service quality. We conduct regular reviews, provide ongoing staff training, and maintain quality assurance procedures.

What if I'm not satisfied with the service?
We take all feedback seriously. We have a formal complaints procedure, and our Care Manager investigates any concerns promptly. If we cannot resolve the complaint, it can be referred to the Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman. Details of our complaints process are provided to all clients.

Can you help with medication management?
Yes, our trained carers can assist with medication administration as part of your care plan.

Do you provide care in care homes and hospitals?
We do not provide care in hospitals or care homes. We do however help with post op care if needed, this can be assessed by us. We provide care in supported living facilities.

Do you provide dementia care?
Yes, our team receives specialist training in dementia care and we have experience supporting people with dementia and their families.

What areas do you cover?
We provide care services across Tavistock and West Devon, including Yelverton, Bere Alston, Lifton, Okehampton, North Tawton and surrounding areas. If you’re not sure whether we cover your specific location, please contact us to discuss your needs.

What care do you provide?
We offer two main types of home care services:
Sitting Services: Companionship and respite care for family carers, providing reliable supervision and support while you take time for yourself
Domiciliary Care: Comprehensive personal and domestic care including:
Personal Care: Assistance with washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, medication support, and mobility
Domestic Care: Help with housework, cleaning, and laundry
Nutritional Care: Meal planning, preparation, and feeding assistance
Enabling Care: Shopping assistance, prescription collection, appointment transport, and bill management
Social Care: Companionship and support with social activities
Staffing & continuity

Do you have continuity of carers?
Yes, we prioritise consistency wherever possible. We aim to match you with regular carers who get to know your needs and preferences. Our mother-daughter management team are also hands-on carers, ensuring quality and continuity of approach.

What training do your carers receive?
All our carers complete the Care Certificate covering 15 essential standards, unless they already hold Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or higher. We provide ongoing training in areas including medication management, moving and handling, dementia care, safeguarding, infection control, and palliative care.
